All Hands Needed to Help Restore Mississippi's Oysters

Prolonged Freshwater Exposure Causing Extreme Oyster Mortality


Mississippi is currently experiencing extreme mortality of its' oyster resources due to pronlonged freshwater exposure from the opening of the Bonnet Carre' Spillway. It is going to take all hands on deck to help Mississippi's wild oyster reefs recover. Pew Charitable Trusts' Environmental divison recently announced a new effort to help protect and restore oysters on the Gulf Coast.
